Our Commitment
Nkatas is committed to reducing the impact we have on our environment whilst continuing to provide the consumer products which create happiness and fulfilment for our customers in their homes.
But in order to do so, we need a habitable world. Our sustainability work sits within all our values and we make this possible by joining BAFTS, in order to keep all the policy within FairTrade.
It brings together artisans, suppliers and manufacturers from around the world under one hub with a common goal. – for a clean planet, provides resources and training and has developed tools and a carbon calculator to support and deliver industry-wide standardisation and best practice on sustainable practices.
Through facilitation and collaboration, education and reporting, FAIRTRADE drives to share knowledge, upskill the industry and track progress to affect change rapidly and meaningfully, across the events industry.
Joining BAFTS requires businesses to put in place very tangible and measurable steps to demonstrate its commitment to continued improvement and we look forward to drawing on BAFTS’s expertise and knowledge to help us on our journey to become one of the greenest events producers in the UK and globally.

Carbon Offset Donation.
As part of our commitment to reducing the impact we have on the environment, we are working hard to reduce the carbon footprint on all of our events. As part of this process we give every visitor the chance to make a voluntary donation to Ecology to offset part of their journey to an event at the point of booking.
Nkatas is a handmade brand committed to sustainability and ethical practices. We strive to create products that are not only beautiful and unique, but also environmentally and socially responsible.
As a member of BAFTS, we prioritize fair wages and safe working conditions for all of our artisans and suppliers. We believe that every person involved in the production process deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.
In addition, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact by using eco-friendly materials, minimizing waste, and utilizing sustainable production methods. We believe that small changes can have a big impact, and we are constantly exploring ways to improve our sustainability practices.
At Nkatas, we believe that sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a way of life. We are proud to be part of a growing movement towards conscious consumption, and we hope to inspire others to make more mindful choices in their everyday lives.
